Services Cancelled for Sunday, December 27, 2020.

As we approach the last Sunday of 2020, I wish I were writing a letter stating the Covid Pandemic was over and encouraging everyone to get back in church ASAP! Unfortunately, that day still isn’t here yet. I know there are many of you whom we haven’t seen in months due to your risk of getting this virus. I want you to know we miss you dearly and can’t wait for the day we get to fellowship again together as the church.

Over the past few weeks, our state and local community have seen a rise in Covid cases. For the month of December, we have been blessed within our congregation to have only a few isolated cases that posed little risk to the congregation as a whole. However, on Christmas day, I began to experience mild symptoms in line with Covid. I was tested this morning (Saturday, December 26) and the results of the rapid test came back positive. If you or a family member were in close proximity of me this past Thursday evening at one of our Christmas Eve services, I encourage you to monitor your health and be on the lookout for any possible symptoms. There are a number of testing sites nearby if you desire to get tested (a call to your county health department can help you locate the closest one).

In an effort to prevent any further spread within our congregation, we are suspending our Sunday morning activities for December 27. We plan to continue services at 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM on Sunday January 3, 2021 with all of our options for you to participate (in-person, online, and mask-required area at 10:30 AM service).

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the church office at (352) 473-7261. I hope someday soon we can return to living life without the threat of Covid. Until then, remember God often works greater in our times of trail than in in our times of comfort.

Praying for you,

Pastor Brandon
